Brick Wall Moment of the Week*

November 8 - So I'm totally buried in work right now and I can't seem to get anything done. Part of my problem is that I can't do my work until someone else does their work, but they are also so buried in work that they can't get the stuff done that I need done in order to get my stuff done. Make sense? Yeah not to me either. The end result is that work is kind of like running on a treadmill. I'm tired at the end of the day, but I feel like I haven't gotten anywhere.

Also this week, the whole election thing was annoying because after what happened in 2000, none of the networks would call the race, any of the races. I'm an instant information person, and it bugs when you can't find anything out. Also every station was using different criteria to call a particular race, so there were different sets of results depending on which one you watched. It was almost like watching completely different elections on every channel. Quite annoying.

November 1 - I am so sick of these political ads. This guys right, no that guys right. This guys a jerk, no that guys a jerk. I cannot wait until Tuesday is over and I don't have to watch like 1,000 commercials filled with people trying to tell me I'm stupid if I vote for A or an idiot if I vote for B.

I'm flat out tired of celebrities trying to tell me that I'm to stupid to figure out politics for myself. "look at me, I'm rich and famous so I'm obviously smarter than you, vote how I say." Seriously, the beauty of voting is that we all get to do it. We get to walk into the booth or up to the divided thing and cast our vote, whether in writing, on a computer or some other way. Nobody gets to stand there looking over our shoulder telling us who it's okay to vote for.

I know, I know, so I'm a little irritable about this, but I heard somewhere that there was a total of something like 750,000 ads run as part of this campaign cycle and I have to tell you I think I've seen most of them and I'm bloody sick of the whole thing. To think I almost minored in Poli Sci.

Just a note to everyone, I can vote for whoever I want. I could vote for A, B, C, D or even write myself in. SO stop telling me what to do.

* I was doing it daily, but that was too depressing.
